Description

Well I learned a little about Carrara DOF. At least on my machine I cannot use Ray traced DOF and Global Illumination/Sky light - crashed Carrara Everytime. I also used a fog cloud as dust in this one - which may look more like a strange gas following after him rather than a blurred out dust trail... So much for using my tablet or doing any post. This is straight from carrara. I did do a version with motion blur (post) it looked about as good as this so I just went with the pure render. Redid the outfit textures with stuff from Cgtextures.com (ground texture from there, too) Other titles considerd - "I'm Going to Stab You in the Head" "Why You Up in My Grill?" "Gladiator Surprise" "Failing Gladiator School" "Been Hurtin' ?" "While going through my Runtime I found Ad Gladio that I bought during the PA Sale but had never used." "Oh What a Pretty Angel... Oh My God Who is that GUY???" (I'm not sure what's wrong with me tonight) "My Name is Gladiator" (but then I remembered that movie...) "One more and I could have had a top ten list."

would have been awsome if you had the back of someones head or body that your gladiator is about to strike down... Still a great scene

Nice blur,shadow and lighting effects. The bloodied wounds on the character map are great. Textures too.

Great render! He reminds me a bit of the masked gladiator decapitated by Maximus in one of the early fights in Gladiator. "Are you not entertained?! Are you NOT entertained?! Is this not why you are here?!?!"
