and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne? I couldn't find any images in my voluminous files that I considered apropos to this annual occasion - no champagne bubbling from bottles or glasses, no paper hats, noise makers, fireworks - so I came up with this offering. And, I mentioned yesterday that I wouldn't be able to comment on your postings today because I would be watching bowl games....well, I learned to my surprise last night that there is a standing rule that there are no January 1st New Year's day parades or bowl games played on a Sunday, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to enjoy the daylong, nonstop, football extravaganzas. That said, have a good one, and thankx for popping in.

Aww, who made that silly rule? I guess maybe all the football teams that usually play and don't want the viewing competition...oh well, you get it tomorrow anyway, and I'm sure you'll have a great time.
