Description

The beach at Durley Chine on New Year's Eve. It was only 13.20 ish according to my camera but looking threatening. By the time I got home the sun had come out..that's what I love about our weather. Today, however, we got the rain! BTW several folk ask repeatedly about the 'lampshades' on the top of the groynes. They are to stop boats or swimmers impaling themselves on the end of the pole when the whole thing is submerged at winter spring tide highs. This happens only rarely but could become more frequent with changing climate.

A glorious picture! Your weather must be much like ours .. if you don't like it, stick around for five minutes or so, it will change! This is one to be enlarged and framed to enjoy!

A steely atmosphere, think it looks good without the sun being out!

I love the cloudscape. So good to see places where I can visualise myself standing and looking. Thanks for the trigger for good memories, Andrea, Clive
