Description

After the panto we went to get the car and as we passed the pier I attempted to capture the horror that modern fairground rides make me feel. Tizzy is poor at night but I made use of the jiggle and grain and with a little digifiddle came up with this vision of hell. I feel better now after the catharthis.

You've managed to brilliantly convey the feeling of being totally overwhelmed by too much sensory input! This makes me want to run in the other direction. Really outstanding work!

Although admittedly wonderful digifiddling in this image, what have you done to what I consider stimulating subect matter! I love the fairground rides, especially at night, with all their gaudy glitter and sounds, so full of joie de vivre!

Great image. But would prefer some more static displays to b there rather than all that movement and noise.

Outstanding reflection of the carnival rides at night. They are very overwhelming in the daytime but you have captured the night "vision of hell" as I see it too. Great postwork and render Andrea.

I loved carnival rides as a child, but when I see them now I feel a touch of nostalgia and a lot of unease. If I just think of getting on one of the things the feeling I have is perfectly expressed by this image! I think one of the most important functions of photography is communication, and this picture does that very well. Great job Andrea.
