Morgan was completely at a loss as to Kyli's attitude toward him. He'd tried to talk to her a couple of times when they'd taken a break in the morning meeting. It was like talking to the walls for all she'd listen to him. She'd get this sort of glazed look in her eyes, like she refused to even listen to anything he had to say. This wasn't the Kyli he'd known for nine, going on ten, yarens. She'd been one of his first fianna. They had so much in common it was laughable. They'd fallen in love and last year he'd asked her if she would marry him...after consulting with her parents and providing a bride-price that would choke a horse. Her parents and everyone else had been delighted with the whole thing, including Kyli. He hadn't even asked for it back, hoping she'd come back. But she hadn't until now. Everything was different now. After the meeting, he'd managed to corner her in the garden. She told him that she valued her freedom and didn't want someone telling her what to do and when she could do it. She knew that if she married him, he'd keep her a virutal prisoner in the castle. "What?!" had been his only response to that. Rather than answer him, she'd turned on her heels and walked off, tossing her hand in the air as if to say "Don't bother!" or "Whatever!" Morgan loved Kyli and he thought she felt the same. He'd never been anything but good to her and would never treat her like that! Where she got that idea, he had absolutely no clue. He followed her back into the castle, but not too closely. Completely puzzled, he headed upstairs to see Gwidion. Maybe he or Lali had some idea what Kyli's problem was with him these days...if any. He didn't like that look in her eyes. As soon as he'd speak, it was like 'she' went off somewhere else and it wasn't 'her' he was talking to. ***** Best viewed in Zoom.
