Description

"Roger The Rooster Is Still Crowing Despite Being A Little Rusty" Saw this rooster on my walk today!! Every Sunday one would go, a tragic part of life, All the hens would cower when they saw the farmer’s wife; Picking out the weekly roast, then to the chopping block, Capons fear one single sound: a sharp axe going “thwock!” Roger was a realist though, his tongue stayed in his head, Never questioned who should go or who should stay instead; Capon capers, what a life! perpetual bill and coo, Roger had the magic password: Cock a doodle doo!** From the poem "Roger Rooster" by Graeme King Original image captured with a Canon Rebel Xsi

Isn't he a beauty and he would look great in any garden. I love his pose and the rusty texture too and the poem goes so well. An excellent capture. Sorry to hear you didn't get past the airport at Christchurch, I hope your next visit will be longer.
