My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

My Goodness... what an interesting find! I wonder how much this little boat has been used in its time! A wonderful capture, my Friend... and beautiful lighting!

Very beautiful but sad capture. She probably still dreams of the times she carried people proudly on the waters

Although it has seen better days it still looks as though it would float. Shall we take it for a sail.... perhaps not I am getting past all that daring. lol. I like the clarity of this capture.

Great shot!

My first thought was: I'll bet woodlice live under there! and so naturally I found myself zooming in on this shot and searching for evidence of land-dwelling crustaceans with rather efficient biological habits and a taste for sliced carrots. (They really do like nice, carrot slices or shredded carrots.) I love the mood in this and the hints and whispers of stories just behind the scenes. Brilliantly seen!

A beautiful capture, Tara! There's just something very appealing about old boats - in or out of water. ...And even if the name of said boat sounds like cheese poofs dipped in chocolate... :-D
MrsRatbag
Nicely spotted, and what a great composition! You got it, girl!

Love that boat :)

What really interests me, is the shape - (while out of water) like a very buxom woman (maybe a former barmaid?) who would let men handle her in very bad weather and then she got washed up after the storm onto the shore, used and abused ... ah well, my fantasy was drifting - just like in the above pic, BB
