Description

I am alive and starting to catch up on my commenting. I am about 5 days behind at RR. The holidays were extremely busy, visiting family, family visiting us, friends visiting us plus running the condo association. I am just getting back to it. I appreciate your patience. This is the last of the Tree of Life series. If you came in at the end, lots of info in the previous two posts. I love the top photo because of the textures in the Rhinoceros (you can also see the back of an Eagle to the right). The actual tree is enormous and the root systems run all over the lush vegetation that surrounds the tree. The bottom photo was taken out in the root system. This is my wife Jo, in there for perspective, standing next to a member of the rodent family. Keep in mind that this is only one of the 325 animals carved into the bark of the Tree of Life. This photo was taken in December 2009. Zoom only helps a little but better detail! Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Did you hear about the guy who took ground up rhino horn to spice up his marriage. It worked great, but every time the wind blew he kept charging Range Rovers!

It's an amazing exhibit at Disney. They had a story on TV about the making of this and all the work that was going into it. :) Excellent captures and scaling! :)
