Description

The Tree of Life, a sculpted 145 foot (44.2 meters) tall Ã¢ï¿½ï¿½ 50 foot (15.24 meters) wide tree, is the centerpiece and icon in Walt Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom theme park. It is a swirling tapestry of 325 animals carved into the bark of this massive attraction. This is a photo of the back side so look for creatures starting upper left, Bat, Stag Horn Beetle, Catfish, Meerkat, Snail, Baleen Whale, Iguana, 2 Giraffe, Owl, Scorpion, Hippo, Monkey, Grub, and a praying Mantis up in the right corner. In the lower half is a Crab, Octopus, Emu, Grisly Bear, a herd of Wilder Beast, Peacock, Sea Turtle and a Jelly Fish. I am sure some of you will find more or even come up with better names. There are many more creatures up in the upper branches. This photo was taken in 2005 with my old Minolta. Zoom is a must.
