I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Amazing that you can get the rocks to stay that way!!! Talent!! Greetings from New Hampshire, where the golf courses are still open and the ski areas are closed due to no snow and warm weather...our koi pond isn't even frozen over and here it is, the first week in January.

Man, you must have the patience of a saint, Mike! I'm amost afraid to breathe on my monitor..... Yeah, it was almost 60 degrees here in Kansas City yesterday.... I do think we're seeing the effects of global warming - we should be freezing our butts off in Missouri by now....

It's mild here, too, although in our already mild climate the difference isn't quite so stark. But yeah ... it should be colder here than it is! I love seeing your rock stacks. It makes me feel relaxed just to think about your process! It would drive me nuts to DO the stacking, but I know how you feel about it. Deep breath .... ahhhhhhhhhhhh. :) Happy times!

It's been mild here too! It makes me dread what's gonna happen in March! Ah, but if you can get out in long sleeves (sans jacket) and bare feet, that's a good thing. As for this image...well...it's quite inspiring. I'm making this comment after a return from a brief visit to Nemaea...I've since learned that Nemaeans really have a thing for stacking rocks! Who knew!? Needless to say, I love this shot and I'm of half a mind to get on a bus, come up that way, and stack a few myself (such an act is best accomplished in the presence of a master) and then drink lots of Meade (and Czech Beer) afterward, while talking about everything. This is really cool, and it's a great way to start off the new year...as it promises more to come!

Yeah, hard to ignore Global Warming at this point. The naysayers seem to have quieted down... I bet they are furiously selling that beachfront property they thought they'd make a killing on. Triumphant rock balancing by yourself, the master~ ;) Not sure how natural the coloring is, have you enhanced it? Is gorgeous either way, love the blueish tones, makes the image pop~ (Old school Minolta + ectochrome would give same result...just curious is all.)

Belive it's more galactic warming then global, all planetary bodies are warming in our solar system, and we only live on one. Must be quite a feat to accomplish this balancing act, bravo!

Well up until yesterday...2-24-2012...we hadn't any snow at all here in my part of southeast Wisconsin.....As I said...until yesterday...lol....Was beginning to wonder if winter was actually going to get away without any snow this year here.Seems like every storm either went to our north or south leaving us with the back wash of mixed precipitation.Been averaging 40 degrees all winter.I'm not complaining because it sure beats -20 any day...lol... Love your rock circus....(smiles)...
