My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

OK - I'm gonna have to take a day trip to this place - that's just so cool! And that's one hellofa pano, Tara - excellent work on that! A pano is about the only way to give any idea of the vastness of a scene like this. I do see Bill and your car - and yes, that's an oil rocker in the middle left. There used to be one next to the golf course in Gardner, which is just west of KC.

Now this is an impressive pano! And a beautiful landscape! Love the explanation that comes with your image. That old school seems to be situated in a town! How photography can be deceptive hey! ,)

FANTASTIC! for me this view is so very special, Tara. An amazing landscape, very impressing. I can see all, you wrote about. And with a bit fantasy, I see a dog, right from he oil-pumper. Thanks for sharing, such stunning pic.

Wow, isn't that fantastic. All that's left of a once higher Great Plains surface! I never knew this occured in Kansas, are there more like them? It need not be pointed out but I will anyway that you really captured the magnificent sweep of the prairies here. The extreme off centered view reall adds to the sense of vastness while the road leads you right into the scene. Great composition and fine shooting. Shows why you are Photographer of the Year.

From the thumbnail I thought these were ruins. The fact that this is a rock formation is ven more unusual, just sitting there all by itself on the planes. A great pano. Your explanation about the old school house illustrates well how parts of the middle of our country are being hollowed out.

One heck of a sandcastle! The panoramic view is superb, Bill so small as a reference of scale. Very zoom worthy! Clive
