Description

300TH UPLOADS IN 5.5 YEARS Well it's almost 5.5 years, about a month or so shy.... I chose this Picture for my 300th Image because I was just notified that I placed 3RD in the Photography contest for Christmas - theme was: Holiday Dreams. Naughty & Nice I used a cheap polaroid didgital camera that I received from the bank for opening up an account many years back... I used a photo program called Photo Explosion. A few things inspired me to make this... the theme for the contest made me think of that magical time of the night where children fall asleep for just that 5 minute period - just long enough for Santa to sneak inside in the Dark... I started thinking of cookies then and what would be the best cookie to give Santa... Well, of course chocolate chip came to mind, but then I thought of this picture I had emailed to me of heart shaped cookies but the frosting gave it a hint it was something else - lol... I went back to thinking if these kind of cookies were on a plate and Santa was sneaking around in the dark, he wouldn't notice what kind of cookie he picked up until right before he bit into it - then I thought - that's it... that's the picture I want to do - and I want to capture the look on his face when he sees it - lol I used several photos of people and my Santa hat to make this.... As I was going through my photos, I came across a baby photo with blue eyes - the mouth and the eyes of santa are of a young baby... the Beard was painted from a photo of a homeless man. .... and what INSPIRED ME THE MOST WAS... seeing that drawing tablet as a prize... I draw with a mouse and I've been told by many artists here I need to get a drawing pad - I'M CROSSING MY FINGERS TODAY THE BRONCOS TAKE ON THE STEELERS IN THE PLAYOFFS....please pray for it to snow in Denver durring this time - it would give the Broncos the edge and with the Steelers being last years AFC Champions, Denver needs all the help they can get. GO TEBOW!!!

Congrats on the big 300, Mike! You and I are neck-and-neck! LOL! DUUUUUUDE!!!!!! I have to take my hat off to you - this is just priceless! And to think you put this all together with a mouse.... I bow at your alter, Bro! Most impressive! That definitely took a lot of skill and patience. I used to 'paint' with a mouse - I could never go back to it after using a Wacom for the last several years.. And congrats on the contest! I'd have given this first place! Well, by now the game's over.......soooooo........ Congrats to your Broncs, my man! Hope they go all the way, now!

Let's see 300 divided by 5.5.....carry the 8 multiply by 4 using a ratio of 1 to 12 ......with a span of 1to 12....fuguring 30 day per month (averaged)......oh yeah...............Congrats!!!! LOL on the pic. Nice job!

drawing with a mouse sucks. I do all my stuff by mouse, too. I've been wanting either a wacom tablet or an iPad .. there's an app for drawing on the iPad, and it doesn't have to be connected to your computer the way the wacom does. Your mouse drawings/paintings are awesome Mike. This is so cool for your 300th .. and one of your best works .. there's a bunch of your things that fall in the "one of your best" category .. this might be at the top of the heap. It's hard though, to make that kind of decision because even your goofing off fun pieces are always such quality work.

I love how you have created this wonderful image, a lot of work but the result is fantastic. A great story to go with it too and Santa surely would get a surprise.
