Description
Captured 1/2/12, very early in the AM, within trudging distance of my rapturous residence.
On my way to the park, I took this shot, snapped through a chainlink fence, showing the volleyball and basketball courts, filtered by the mist.
Although it looks like a black and white foto, it's still a color pic.
Much better via ZOOM.

The fog gives this an 'out of this world feel', and softens all the concrete. I hope it cleared for a lovely day for you.

Really a cool pic Harry, love the atmosphere

Love the fog, I almost expect to see the ghosts of basketball players past come bounding over and slam-dunking at the rim...great capture, Harry!

I do like 'foggy' pix ;) especially with the sun trying to filter through ... BB

We have had some foggy days recently. Nice job capturing it here.

It does look B&W and a desolate foggy area. Lots of leaves around her also. I didn't think that the LA area lost its leaves.

how it looked here last night and this morning. I guess a cause of all the rain we've had here the last few days. Pretty to look at but I don't want to have to go out and drive through it. Have a great day!

Gives you such an empty, almost sad and lonely feeling looking at this. Fantastic photography.
Rainastorm
Woah dreary looking isnt it?

I'm doing fewer cars, fences, benches this time (etc), only because I want to concentrate on your many other subjects, not because your cars & fences, etc, aren't equally fine. Just for this session...This is a true heavy fog shot. And I know well that it's not b&w, as fog---one of nature's true PS filters---has a way of bleaching color right out of the world. But anyone who's photographed fog knows that its beauty is that there are colors in that mist, and those colors whisper forth in the most gentle of ways. So one sees hues here, 'rusted' as they may seem. (The sky is rusted---almost coppery---from being filtered through fog this thick.) And your snippets of branch & leaves, on top right & left, are delicate & almost Japanese. Also, the line of grass at bottom is a perfect "frame" for the shot---a shot in which "framing" is at a minimum because of the obliterating presence of mist. And it's a classic capture of landmarks---goal posts, basketball hoops, etc---being swallowed by the all-obliteration soup of a foggy day. Very moody & mysterious, and very true.
