Description

Production Rig & Cargo Lander Touch-Down This is an on-going series. See Mars terraforming image links below. The nitrogen/methane collection rig and the mission cargo module touch down near the crew vehicle on the surface of Titan. The atmospheric collection rig is the working platform of the operation, it will collect, separate, and compress atmospheric nitrogen and methane for the Mars terraforming program. Scale correction note (pertaining to information in my previous post): The working rig is approximately 200 feet in length, 60 feet in width. Upcoming Posts: In a later post I intend to show the working site including collection tanks, and a water-reclamation drill rig, and oxygen/hydrogen distillation plant – my next posts, however, will detail the Re-usable Surface to Orbit Tanker. Currently I am completing models showing the tanker in various configurations: in-transit (wings folded) with wings deployed for Titan atmospheric entry; with slide-out VTO/L jets deployed (and gears extended) for landing. The Mission Transporter for this craft is also under construction – its design incorporates inflatable tanks for material return phase of the mission. The re-usable surface to orbit tanker is a four engine gas-core nuclear light-bulb powered VTO/L winged vehicle with an integral thermal protection system -- designed for the purpose of delivering recovered materials to Titan orbit for transfer to the material return transporter. Models constructed in Bryce 6.5 and rendered in Bryce 7 Pro. Some greeble-packs used in construction of the production rig: Greeble Series 1-10 Created by Paul F. Hymen Ozylot's Greeble Pack V1.0 Created by Carl Fredsberg As always thank you for your interest, thoughtful comments, and encouragement.

Very nicely done! I like that "wet" look to the ground. Sort of like what Huygens landing on.
