Description
Reusable Tanker & Interplanetary Orion
This is an on-going series. See Mars terraforming image links below.
The Reusable Tanker is imaged here mounted on its Mission Transporter as the paired vehicles approach Saturn capture and Titan orbital insertion burn.
The Reusable surface to orbit Tanker is an un-crewed autonomous vehicle, a four engine gas-core nuclear light-bulb powered VTO/L winged vehicle with an integral thermal protection system -- designed for the purpose of delivering recovered materials to Titan orbit.
The mission transporter (the interplanetary Orion carrier spacecraft) is outfitted with inflatable tanks (now collapsed within transport pallets) for the material-return phase of the mission. The return impulse-charge fuel load is carried in a pack designed to counter-balance the weight of the Reusable Tanker – Disambiguation note: this is the rectilinear structure “below” the central core of the space craft – the Reusable Tanker being the aerodynamic vehicle aligned to the core and “above” it relative to the viewers perspective -- this special impulse charge carrier (along with the topmost tier of six cylindrical impulse charge magazines – three of which are visible just below the Reusable Tanker’s folded wing) will empty into the lower impulse-charge stack in a re-loading procedure upon arrival in Titan orbit – and these impulse charge carrier modules will then be discarded.
Models constructed in Bryce 6.5 and rendered in Bryce 7 Pro.

Really awesome concept and rendition !

I am very impressed by the amount of thought and effort you have put into this project. I know from my own experience how challenging it can be to create a family of spaceships that both share enough common elements to be of the same lineage while maintaining enough diversity of configurations to be make each design interesting as a stand-alone design. Great job!

This is fantasic work AAA+

just as a suggestion... and you don't have to take this.... but maybe a bit of weathering, as you can't be that far out without have shimmed through a few clouds of space dust, and micro-meteors..... other than that, nicely done rendition!
