Description

The good die young. There are many fine details in the image. You need to ZOOM to be able to see them, since it is a big image. Inspiration for the image is from a song called..The good die young. It is on the album called..Sting in the tail...released in 2009. I never heard the album until a few days ago. The good die young.. is a beautiful power ballad. And it triggered todays image. Phrases from the lyric, like.... Prayers in the desert sun... and...bombs that go off at the side of the road... Makes it very obvious what it is about. Here is a fantastic live version of the song, with cool scene effects in the form og light and smoke: Click here to hear the song and watch the video. Here is another version in case of youtube rubbish. Click here to hear the song and watch the video. Here is a link to the lyric of the song, if anyone need it for the translator: Click here to read or translate the lyric. As i read and listened to the lyric of the song...it made me wonder.... If the good die young... will that implicitly mean.... That the bad will die old, corrupted and laughing? Who are the good? Who are the bad? About the making of the image. It is 99% Photoshop, since i can not make new renders anymore. 2012 have been a shitty year so far...ever since jabuary 1.st #:o) My 3D work computer died yesterday #:o( It will need a 150-200 dollar repair. Dead power supply and dead CPU cooler. It will take me 2-3 months to save up that much. So in the meantime... I will work with 2D graphics in photoshop only, since i can no longer make new 3d renders. Too bad. Im doing everything from an old DELL laptop, with malfunctioning keyboard, and nearly no graphical capabilities. But it can run Photoshop, and access the internet. So it ain't all that bad :) I hope you got better into the new year than me :) Thanks for any comments and/or faves.

Your work is beautiful,Lars! So many details, and as you can see, it is great to work with 2D sometimes. I used to work like this for a long time. It is very creative, I think. I am very sorry to hear about your computer. We also lost ours 3 times and still we have to replace a monitor. I know the feeling! I hope that you did not lose any of your work! Dont forget, the worst of times can sometimes be the best of times. You could have a new experience working in a different way. Good luck to you!

Lars, you really are one of a kind my friend and your art always moves me. Without a doubt no one puts more thought into their art as you do. It's my guess that you spend as much time pondering the direction your going to go with an image and the theme behind it as you do the actual work on it. This one struck a chord with me as I read your profound and amusing thoughts on the title. The sad part is you may be more right than you realize.

A thought provoking image.I hope that things make a change as this year proceeds.Sometimes, the hard times force use to learn how to make the best of things and in the end make us better for going through them.

Superb image Lars! Title & lyrics to the song remind me of something back in the early 70's, but can't come up with it right now. I hope your 2012 turns for the better!
