Description

Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus. Found at Sweetwater Wetlands, southern Arizona, USA. I don't expect to see a flock of millions of starlings flying around in the desert, but I am no longer surprised to see a few hundred blackbirds flying in a flock in the evening here. They are fun to watch. This is only part of the flock, and there was more than one flock.

Neat looking. I would hate to fly into them with an aircraft. it could mean engine failure!
