Description

This is a pano of 5 images that I shot across the bay to show the town of Henties Bay (Namibia) in all it's glory. You will have to zoom to at least see the houses. On this image north is to the left of the picture. If your eyes are still good, you will notice that the town is built on a fairy high dune. We always stay on the North dune and about 100yards from the edge of the dune! You will notice that there are no trees to mention. This is in the middle of the Namib desert! Just 6 short weeks and I'm off to go sooth my soul again in this amazing country! Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload! Hugs Carin xx

This fabulous pano brings to mind the old admonition to build your house upon the rock...but here it looks like you don't have that option:) Heck, we look forward to your vacation in Namibia too...more pictures from a place we'd love to see and do through your eyes every year.

I have never tried to do a pano. I need to try sometime. Beautiful work, and great to see the area. There is this online game I was playing with a friend where you try to place the nations of Africa on the map, lol I thought of you. Afraid my Africa geography isn't as good as it should be, but I didn't do that bad. game

Earlier this year we spent a day around Henties bay!! you make me feel homesick with this fantastic panoramic view!! One thing I will remember for long time about Henties Bay: the German "Slager" Music they played in the local super market announced in African!!LOL!!!
