What an impressive little place. Why change the letter box? It adds yet another historic note. I'll bet Helle will appreciate this very much:)

Very strange to see such different kinds of living in other countries i guess we just have a more modern look here than others it's always got to be better and updated great capture.

OH WOW! First, I like this little Village alot. Second, I love the color of the post box. See, some years back, it was discussed wether we should have all the mail boxes changed in DK, but people, me included, love our red mailboxes, so they fortunately didnt. Thanks alot for thinking of me, Jeff :-D

Funny but when I see a post box I literally see 'red' because our mail service in Canada seems to be deteriorating rapidly. My postman, when he works at all, seems to have great difficulty with numbers, even though he does not have to walk anywhere. Sending a small parcel to my daughter in Austin Texas now costs about three times the cost of sending that same parcel from Austin to Edmonton. Letter carrier work is now contracted out and there is no security in the postal service whatsoever here. Every year the couriers grab more and more of the postal business.

We've got the first post box in Carlisle ... and I saw one labelled VR for Victoria in Dublin (painted green, though).

WOW!! This is a better POV of the Yarn Market and Castle. I like to see that the old Letter Box is still in use.
