Description

the C 47 is free at sharecg and the glider is available here in the MP . the aerial is mine and is West Texas.I had to remove the circle farming as I doubt it was something to be seen in WWII France I dedicate this to neiwil and Digimation_ModelBank/Vanishing-point for all the awesome models they have made the rope used to pull the glider was very small and I have no idea as to how long it was.from this perspective and height it would be hard to see the rope.a hook system was used and the C47 was reported to fly over the glider and would almost instantly yank them to 128 MPH.imagine the whiplashes? C47 Length: 64 ft 8 in (19.7 m) Wingspan: 95 ft 2 in (29.0 m) Height: 16 ft 11 in (5.16 m) Waco glider Length: 48 ft 8 in (14.8 m) Wingspan: 83 ft 8 in (25.5 m) Height: 15 ft 4 in (4.7 m) www.sharecg.com/v/58753/browse/5/3D-Model/Dakota-and-then-some....

Awesome scene you've composed! I recall the first times I saw a glider in tow as well as flying alone after release was when I was 5-7 yrs old in Germany (about 1961-63) near Freiburg, Bad Nauheim, etc (not sure of correct spelling!) I saw them again while growing up at Lawton/Ft.Sill in SW Oklahoma, the rising heat on the plains made for wonderful glider flying I was told.

Stunning image Richard....great composition and lighting, really like the 'look down' view. The addition of your own photo background really raises the bar on this one....10/10+
