Lovely shot Bill and it looks to have been quite heavy while it lasted.

Beautiful scene Bill. In my childhood we had wonderful scenes of snow every year over Christmas like clockwork. Now it seems to be less and less. Still waiting :)

The close-up shows the snow crystals. They look rather wet (rounded and a bit lumpy). Is the snow staying or has it started to melt? Nice shot of something we all too often take for granted, especially when there's a lot of it. We then don't even look at the little miraculous details which make up the whole. Here, it's damp, cold, windy, had a good bit of rain at night time. Snow often comes in February. Up country they've had a LOT of snow. Global warming? Rather, redistribution of "the wealth". Keep up the good work! :-)

I was driving to Walmart yesterday when the snow started halfway between here and there; the further I drove the thicker it got, and there was a healthy buildup of slush in their parking lot. That lovely convergent zone you live in always gets the fun stuff first! Luckily by the time I drove home it was snowing nicely here too, but you got more coverage than we did by this picture. Lucky!

We had a little bit here last week - it's mostly gone, now.. Still cold, though! A lovely shot, Bill! I just zoomed in, and made a snowball, but it melted before I could trhow it at Jo - probably a good thing!

Nice capture Bill and I can see that is wet, heavy stuff that probably melts away the first day and makes room for more the following night. If it sticks it will make for interesting driving conditions lol, Sig..

A lovely capture of this cold fluffy white stuff. I like to look at it but not touch and prefer to stay warm.

Cool contrast in this foto. Happy you finally got something that represents the season, Bill This winter has started out not as a blast, but as a whimper.

Nice one Bill, but I can make one by reaching out the front door as of today. It has been almose a snowless winter here so far...until this morning, so now I have about 6" to shovel, but not 'til I'm good and ready, like maybe tomorrow or Tuesday. Oh, the temperature has dropped from about 5°C to -25°C as of right now, and that's one of the reasons I don't feel like shovelling tonight. Good to see some snow though; unless we start getting more of it there won't be anything growing here anymore.
