Nice shot! I cannot tell for sure but it looks like a royal crest at the top, so perhaps this distiller has a royal warrant. Canadian Club whiskey had the royal warrant for many years but recently lost it because of pressure from Scottish distillers, who now have it. Then I realized I still had a half-full bottle in my cabinet. I've had it since the 70s, but became fearful of serving it to anyone because it has been open for so long. Now I suspect it is more valuable for the old label with the royal warrant. Hmmm, maybe I should try it? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but then again what if it kills me, ha ha!
