Description

We had a great time exploring the I & M Canal in October. (Thanks for the tip, Yvonne!) :) This was a duckweed-covered pond at one of the stops we made on our first day out. Perhaps I got a little carried away with the postwork, but sometimes it's fun to see where the process takes me! I loved this storybook colored-line-drawing look. The waterfall was lazy, the sycamores were delightful, and we had a nice walk along the canal in the afternoon sunshine. Ahhhhh ... nice memories!

I was wondering if this is where Jareth might have hidden after his escape from the yard. Nice sci-fi look.

This seems to be a great shot, the lighting being truly beautiful but, to me, the effect you added ruins it! :( I'd love to see the original! Plz? ;)

Applause for the postwork. I understand some desire to stick to a pure photographic look but I for one like to experiment with 1, 2, 3 or more filters every now and then...the effects are very creative and IMHO are a reflection of artistic license:) The overall composition is spot on.

the postwork really adds something to the image, although I would love to see the original as well and it does look like it comes from a children's story book

Hey, I heard you guys are getting lots of snow and icy rain, hope its not to miserable there. Its awful here right now but not too much snow, just lots of 2o degrees and below 0 with the wind chill. Needless to say I am inside staying warm!!!!!

I think the postwork is great, Tara! It has a wonderful look. That's what I love about all this digital photography/CG stuff. There's virtually no limit - you can explore an image in so many ways.
