This church was funded by wealthy cloth tradesmen back in the 17th century.

The age of things like this is so amazing to me. The first white settlers arrived in what is now Seattle in 1851, and then the city burned in 1889. Anything that's still standing here that was built before 1900 is considered the oldest of the old! Fascinating.

Brilliant, this picture, so beautiful, because the view through the gate. I had to smile because of the new padlock. It's so not fitting into the old atmosphere. :)
