Description

I've been working off and on to create my own anime figure from scratch... i've done some tweeking on the character and created some new clothing for her... The Male figure is Hiro3, with clothing from a variety of sources and hair from Akatora.. The little girl is Akatora's Decoco with hair and some clothing from him and some converted for her from another figure... The older anime girl is my very own figure as are her clothes and shoes... I made the school uniform myself, her stockings and her shoes and jewelry... hair is from Akatora refitted to my figure... for all of the extras i created my own retextures to suit the scene... save for the walkway and walls of the park, and the cherry trees... Anime backpack was found on sharecg by Karth Shrubs and hedges from sharecg as well by Sander3d Cherry trees from FWAD and France Clothes for Hiro by AIO Park Grounds are from the Greenhouse by Richabri Bird are Wapidoll, Chibiyoro Anime Girl Kristin and clothing(wip)by me Plus small items from a variety of sources... thanks to all of the creators of these fine items Rendered in Daz 2.3 Toon render style with 6 Distant lights

I have no desire to sound like a jerk, believe me, but: With the exception of the youngest girl, those characters are frighteningly ugly. Everything about them looks unnatural into almost "supernatural." The characters look like something out of the "Wrong Turn" or "The Hills Have Eyes" series. That being said, I'll explain what I mean: 1.) Male character - the eyes are monsterously large, and the up turning of the nose to it being a mutant pig-snout makes him appear like a mutant or demon. From what I can see, though, is that his figure looks fine, and the clothes match the hair really well. 2.) Older female character - I really... I really don't know where to start... Most glaringly, I would say the arms; she has gorilla arms, they are way too thick for her frame, and such a size would weigh her down and likely cause her to hunch forward, dragging her knuckles like a neandertal. The nose sits far too high on her face, her eyes are over sized, appear that they are bugging out of her head, and her chin sits far too long, making it look... well.. not very good. Her breasts look like an 80 year old's, and droop more than they likely should. I would judge that she is not wearing a bra for support. Her legs are extremely thick, and her feet are too long and wide for the rest of her body (which draws comparisons to Peggy Hill of "King of the Hill," but worse.) Your image has a lot of potential, but at this point, it lacks the asthetic allure that Japanese artists are known for, borderlining ugly. Still, it's some great effort, and I look forward to seeing more of what you produce. PS: I'm writing this critique based on the assumption that you are seriously trying to emulate the Japanese anime/manga style. If this is contrary to your intentions, and you are creating a satire of it, I'd say you hit the mark pretty well.
