Description
The main problem when strolling past a mile long wall of stone carvings is not seeing everything or making it to the end of your hike but, as you might guess, deciding what to photograph. Here is just a very small sampling of what I saw. Each carving is from eight to nine hundred years old.
Sacred dancers known as Apsaras decorate a lintel over an opening. Then you can see a war elephant marching into battle. There is a wider view of another elephant and the foot soldiers next to it. Next an archer firing from his chariot. A pair of soldiers can be seen marching in a victory parade after a battle. Of course, any victory is an excuse for a party and what's a party without acrobats.

Outstanding work! I understand you perfectly. This is one of those times when you want all the time in the world, all focal lengths, batteries unlimited, and infinite memory or film. The carved in stone is really beautiful, and you photographed it perfectly!

Such a wonderful collection of images! With such a wealth of possible images, it's a wonder you aren't still there deciding what to shoot! I can't tell you how many times on our last trip we looked at each other and said, "Well, we can't shoot everything." I have no idea what you left there, but the images you brought back are fabulous.

"Of course, any victory is an excuse for a party and what's a party without acrobats" I would have thought somebody is juggling with their children - same thing! ;) I bet you have all of them anyway - to immortalise them, I know I would - they are heavenly, BB
