UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Oh my, I thought at first that you were going to show a shot of a cemetery. In any event, great down the middle POV, perspective and all around sepialike effects in this fine foto, Bill.

I like how they have raised this garden bed to give more form to it. A lovely capture of it.

Oh, beautiful plantings! I know exactly where this is, but when I was there it was very very cold and wintry, and nothing was growing anywhere. Great capture!

Chicago really goes all out with its public gardens! It's one of the things I like so much about that city. Beautiful capture!

It is an impressive garden area, but I also like that street in the background, and that walkway to the right! And it also looks clean even in the absence of any visible trash containers.

That is impressive! What a marvellous habitat there must be in there for all sorts of little persons! It is a lovely shot too, and makes me realise there is some nature even in this highrise city.

Well, this really looks like a loop! You get the whole planting from this angle, plus the symmetry along the street in the background. Millenium Park - that makes me wonder "what was here before the park?" Interesting with the different architectural styles along that street in the back. The passage way over the street looks a bit odd. Grey below, as if this were a beam for an overhead railway, then high windows, and then a red roof. At each end it seems to be passing between the buildings on each side of the street. Could it be a covered train station? Keep up the good work! This was interesting. :-)

It looks absolutely lovely, Bill! Such a warm place it seems... and such a great centre piece here. I like the balance of your capture very much.... most pleasant indeed! I hope one day I could visit Chicago again... I do remember, though vaguely now my short visit there, so very long ago.

A very cool capture, Bill! Nice color to offset all the concrete and glass! When I saw the title, I thought maybe you stumbled onto a patch of those funny plants with 5 leaves.... ;-P
