You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

What a superb image! I love the delicate and gorgeous shell-like fungus and the border is marvellous.

Great image-I have never seen one of these before...There should be a gallery just for shrooms as there are so many different type's of them...

A swinging mushroom, with a tutu, or a (dancing) petticoat. Such great pictures as presentation. And really this mushroom capture looks to me too, as a fantastic flower, or as a beautiful creature which lives in the see. Thanks for sharing, my dear friend :) ! It's GREAT!

I love the seemingly infinite variety of shapes & colors that mushrooms form & I've never seen one quite like this. Looks like a soft, delicate variation a clam shell. The inner picture is certainly fine enough to stand on it's own, but the framing picture is a nice touch...

very beautiful picture

Excellent use of an inset in this cool image, Brigitte. The fungi looks about as close to being a delicate flower as it can get without being a flower. Plus, I like the moisturized background. I hope you don't mind my copying your inset technique for future postings.

Wow, it looks to be well worth having all the rain to find shrooms like this, well almost. This one looks so pretty with its frilly edges and lovely colours. I hope you dry out soon [well not you personally :)] and get back to your sunny summer. I think I would need to have many seasons of humidity before I would get a great result with the moisturizer. :) I like you have framed this capture with the other, excellent work.

Beautiful! That fungus is lovely, and I really like the combination, using one image to frame another. Nicely done!

Beautiful! It seems like the fabric for a princess dress.

What a stunning and curious fungus! It seems to have been made from fine glass or crystal. The picture within picture is a master stroke.

on first glance, this mycota looked like that picture of Marilyn Monroe's dress flying up from the subway grate.... very cool and moisturized shot (I live in what's technically a desert... our annual rainfall is less than our evaporation rate.. and right now it's winter, and a chinook is blasting through... warm air from the Pacific flying over the mountains... so the groung is a mixture of melting snow and brown earth.) this shot gives me hope that and....mmmmmm.. mushrooms, pan fried with butter....mmmm hungry!

I do not know what I like better. The twigs with the drops or the breathe of the fluttering mushroom after the rain. Xcellent finishing!
