Sorry to hear of your loss but after a long bout of cancer I am sure it is for the best. Take solace that she got to see at least one great grandchild and the marriage of her youngest grand daughter, special events that not all that many are privaleged to experience.

a fine dedi Rod... I've lost more loved ones in February it's like a blowout in sprots compared to the rest of the year. I litterally do not like February - it scares me... I also spend this month in a frame of mind where I feel I'm thinking more of the departed. Sounds like you had a great Mother in law... I've had two... one, was never supportive of my relationship with their daughter and they finally got what they wanted and I'm out of their picture after 20 years - I never had an arguement, but when you're coaching little league and you have parents tell you what was said by your Wife (exwife) and Mother in Law (ex)about you, yeah, it's hard... My Wife's Mother passed when My Wife was a teenageer (19) so I never met here - but I feel her presence from time to time... My Wife's Aunt is the closest we have to a Mother or Mother in law now, when she's gone, we will be the oldest generation of our families... FOREVER DANCING... you nailed it. My Mom love Garth Brooks and she wanted THE DANCE played at her funeral - it was... I was asked if there were other songs - I picked STANDING OUTSIDE THE FIRE - cause my Mom was a real go getter... Come February 9th my Mom will have been gone 11 years - I'm choked up right now thinking about it - It really doesn't get any easier through the years.... advice? the good times... force yourself to only think of the good times and the laughter.... sometimes when I'm alone I'll try and picture people that have passed sitting in a room with me, I try and remember their laugher... as I try to feel what it would be like to have them all laughing together, it sometimes gets me to laugh and feel they are still with us.
