My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Looks like pretty new blacktop too! I haven't seen the east side of Oregon for a long time.

There is something very mystical about telegraph poles - the gentle giants besides a long road to somewhere; they remind me of musical notes and stave's ... very streamlined ;) BB

Such a super composition and beautiful colours, and yet for me quite depressing elements..mountains, tarmac, above-ground utilities, straight lines... Maybe I am a bit odd..I must get round to looking into that when I have time.

I'm a sucker for road shots, and this one works well,a bit of a contrast to my country lane

Take me home country road. Great picture.

Visually very appealing! I also liked the fact that the road surface was perfect and that we encountered no traffic...the place was all ours. You've captured the mood and atmosphere I felt there...well done:)

I'm struck by the absolute straightness of each of those poles; it's so unusual to see this, usually they're more like a group of kids in a line, all at different angles and looking more sloppy. Maybe these are new and haven't had time to "relax" yet? Great shot!

I am a lineman for the county... Great shot

Really nice work. I love these shots of the back roads - some much of our time is spent ( at least here in southern California ) on soulless freeways lined with shopping malls and endless suburbs.

Blacktop never looked so good! What a great capture of this wide open space of America - it is amongst my favourite places on the continent.
