My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Yes I have fallen in to the padlock trap a couple of times myself but the 'key' is not to let it get you down!! Nice shot by the way.

I like the perspective, the fence disappearing off to the right, the family perfectly framed. Nice work.

I'm with Mark. And a unique way to 'master' the situation:)

Fantastic focus on the business end of the lock; really a marvelous composition altogether!

Since I've been hanging out with a bunch of UrbEx people, I can say that this image is quite familiar...for some (the more dubious ones) it's a challenge...they'd find a way to shimmy between the two sections being locked together. And yes, I love the Andrea influence. It's a wonderful variation on a theme and with a bit of UrbEx thrown in to make it edgy. Nice.

Outstanding capture and perspective!!!

Great POV and I like the framing of the people,as for the lock NO comment.

Locks and fences are interesting, you all just go right on making pictures of them. Brilliant image Tara!

Super shot with both texture and people and a padlock... woo hoo! :D

Before photography, everything would slip by and pass me. Now I do notice the little things that I wouldn't have before such as the padlock attached to secure the fence. I see the walk way and people. Aloha

Superbly framed, and what an excellent use of DOF - great shot, Tara! Hmmm.. I need to reconnect the fence in the backyard one of these days - now I know how to do it! LOL!

Andrea has me looking at manhole covers... I like the DOF, especially the people confined on the bridge! Clive
