Description
Why do all the roses I draw look like cabbages? DS4/Lux with Genesis/Vanilla Sky. Vue b/g with props from Cornucopia. Goldilox hair. Dress, roses, wallpaper & glass scratch-built. Brushes used were mostly Mystikel Impasto, Keepwaiting skin and a rose brush from Deviant that didn't have the author's name in the filename so, sorry, but I forget who to credit on that one.

I do like the painterly look that this has and the answer to your question is "because nobody does flowers like mother nature" there is not a flower, I have seen that is digitally created that looks as beautiful as the real thing it is funny really hair we do well people we do better cars and machines are amazing but.... digital flowers....look digital your pink cabbages are beautiful however cheers Carl

Ya know, I thought they looked pretty rose-like but now that you mention it. Maybe the petal edges need to be a bit smoother and less frilly? Lovely image at any rate. There's no 4.5 so I s'pose I gotta give it a 5 ;)

Good job. Can't even pick this one apart - and you know I've tried. Even like the pink cabbages. It might be that you've got darker pink streaks down the length of the petals, more like a cr...santh..mum (?) that make it look cabbagey; didn't we used to have an embroidery with the same pink cabbages somewhere when I was small?
