My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Yikes! I hate these road maps... not too great with navigation, but hopefully this man is :) An interesting capture and subject. Very candid, from just a few steps away :)

That map is an ICON of British design and I have a whole book about it! It is SO easy to understand, and I love maps anyhow.

Yeah! If you haven't the faintest idea of your destination, as Rosy and I met one such gent who had been walking around the underground system with a squeaky suitcase wheel for HOURS and HOURS, you could roam for a long long time.. But very luckily for this guy, his actual destination (hotel) was in the same street as our hotel! lol He was saved! BUT, all night we kept hearing a lonely wheel squeaking in the distance somewhere.. Oh course we could not stop laughing for days! Poor man! Thanks Clive, great shot.. GREAT memories! Rob

Perhaps a left-handed double-jointed 30-something businessman. Then again, perhaps not. But the signs are there ...

The thing I've noticed about being on the London tube is that everyone is looking at the tube maps, either on paper, on the train itself or on an app (like me). I highly recommend going the app route... mine cunningly calculates the fastest route and accounts for many connections I would never think of taking. Anyways this is a great sneeky capture of an iconic London scene.
