Description

Algie was the name of the pig who flew over Battersea Power Station for Pink Floyd‘s “Animals” album cover in 1976. Sadly I missed the photo op on 26th September 2011 when a replica of Algie flew again for launch of the band’s back catalogue. This was taken three weeks earlier and I had some post work fun with it - could have added a pig I suppose... Smile! Clive

You got me to google both the album cover and the power station on a map. Now, I am in the know:) I missed this scene in the 1970s...can you believe that? lol.

Thanks for sharing! I´ve read a book about pink Floyd`s history and finished today. I miss the pig over Battersea , too, but I didn´t know its name was Algie...
