Ah, the old Crysler. A few of them still around during the 1950s when I was a kid. And not to forget the Studebaker with its jet intakes on the front! Is this a military plane? With all that shiny metal it would be seen a far ways off. Very smooth metal work, which your photo catches very nicely. Another thing your photo catches nicely is a photographer with company reflected in the engine cowling! And you haven't crossed the low barrier for the photo. This gave me a good chuckle - the photographer catching himself in the photo - reminds me of the Chicago "Bean" photos. Keep up the good work! :-)

Great shot of this sleek, shiny metal beauty. Don't know if that very dark background was just there or you postworked it, but either way it works perfectly to offset the reflective metal. This reminds me of a car I once saw at the Blackhawk Auto Museum (Danville, California). It was a 1926 Daimler Salon Cabriolet owned by an Indian maharajah that was all shiny unpainted metal like this (though it was more brass colored than silver). It had horns that were shaped like boa constrictors mounted on the front fenders. Why didn't I take a picture of it? Temporary insanity is all I can think of, but I did find several pictures of it online & here's one with a brief description & history of the car: 1926 Daimler

Not exactly a Mustang, suitably banged about though for its age... but there is just not enough polished raw metal on planes today. I love all the rivets and seams and labels... STEP? And I thought you hang your goggles on it? ;-)

As you know Bill i'm a huge fan of the Chrysler Airflow's and this is a beauty along the same lines. Chrysler have started a new series of advertisments over here in the UK trying to link their cars of today to the stylish cars of yesteryear but alas todays cars just don't do it for me. Wonderful post and link Bill :)
