In 2005 and after 31 years in the brewing industry I chose "Freedom 55" and retired early. This allowed me to follow my passion of scuba diving and travel. I moved out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada for 3 years and became a professional scuba instructer.  Shortly after returning from New Zealand in the fall of 2011, I have been having to deal with a couple of non diving related medical issues which has forced me to hang up the mask and fins for a spell. This should give me more time for taking pictures...lol.

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."

This is beautiful, it is hard to tell if the color, or lack thereof is real or if it had been grayscaled and then recolored in places. Lovely clean shot.

I can't decide but I have to say that I like the reflection, the ratty sails and the flag flying off the stern.

Thumbs up!!! This is great...you're a talented photographer. I like the way you manipulated this in Photoshop. Monotone images can be so beautiful. This one certainly is. I can't help wondering where you cound such a priceless ship. :-) It reminds me of The Medusa -- or some of the other historic models I've seen. Anyhow -- this is a very interesting, moody image. The green shadow is a cool touch...literally! :-)))
