Description

Woke up to our first real snow of the winter this morning. A beautiful blanket of it covers the land, but I already hear big chunks of it thawing & crashing on our roof. Too cozy inside to go out now, but if I make it out before it melts, will try to get some photos... The bark patterns on trees can be looked at as abstract paintings with infinite variations. This is one of my favorites...

I can see, why this is a favourite - it is very appealing (pardon the pun), 'a face in the crowd' - it is a pity actually, when they prune the branches so close to the tree-trunk - but on the other hand - it is a photographers paradise! perfect colouring for those textures, *BB
