Description

This was shot on the same Evening as My last post Titled "Heavens light". It was an amazing evening of color and cloud formation. I will post a few more shots of this amazing evening in the coming days. I thought this was really cool as it looked like a flying saucer. Thanks for stopping by. Please zoom.

Absolutely surreal! The cloud formation is a most interesing and almost eerie one... I had to look long and hard at this, and admire it immensely!

I think they only happen toward the north.I seen some on a mountain top in Utah.I would love to see in person.

Seeing the title in the ebot I received, I thought it must be a lenticular cloud. This is a beautiful capture. I've never gotten a picture of one, though I've seen a couple. You were lucky and skillful. I've seen some other cool shots at APOD, a great site....Astronomy Picture of the Day. Check their archive...maybe even submit some shots!!!
