Description
I wanted to create a scene reminiscent of the old marine oil painting scenes. Terragen 2 has now provided me with the means to start to get the feel of the historic vessels and how they might have looked to a viewer of the time. Maybe I succeeded, maybe not. However, I feel it only right to offer this to you for your comments and possible encouragement to anyone thinking of getting creative with Terragen.

I like the subtle colour a lot, and its REALLY good to see a scene in which terrain height is not wildly exaggerated. An image of wonderful self constraint and precision control!

For what its worth, I ran a Digital Imaging Group for some years, with an average of 50 members. Would you believe that out of this lot, only a couple of them could actually be called 'creative'. This proved conclusively to me that creativity is either in you or it's not. I am reluctant to believe you can teach it or learn it. There are a great many 'wanabees' about, but very few actually creative personas. This is why some few artists can be called 'great' and the rest merely hangers-on. Problem is, in today's world, unfortunately a lot of these rubbish merchants have actually achieved stardom merely by being part of what has become known as 'The Establishment'. I say this without rancour or envy, merely stating facts as I see them. The only true way of finding out if you have creativity in you is to produce some original work of your own, and then offer it for comment.... You'll soon find out!
