Description
Captured 2/17/12, early morning, a few blocks from my harried habitat.
A ZOOM would be beneficial.
Don't remember exactly what the tank was chained to, a post of some sort I reckon. I think it may have been a temporary setup. I'll be sure to check it out bye and bye.
Cheerio, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Selling locks must be really big business out there. Neat capture.

I'm surprised they'd leave something with such a dangerous potential chained out in public; I know nitrogen isn't flammable, but those tanks are pressurized and can become a speeding bullet if knocked over and have the top knocked off. It's not a common occurrence, but feral youth with on a mission could do some serious damage if they felt so inclined. That aside, it's an intriguing collection of shapes and textures right out there in front of you, Harry. Great work capturing it for us to share!

for my final one today I'm jumping way back to February...just wanted to speak about another of your padlock shots, and shots of things like this in general. Read Denise, yes, I imagine this isn't a great thing to have sitting out like this. But it's a huge city (LA has a bigger population than Chicago, I believe). A complex capture, with not only all the shapes, but you caught the strange mixture of textures too, you caught their sheen and also their strange grit. Also, I like the street lines in the background, making counterpoint with the assemblage. And you framed it with a post or wall on the left...Fine detailed seeing, and beautiful. The rust is actually beautiful in your shot. And your eye caught something a lot of photographers would've walked by, and you presented it to us like a piece of abstract street art. I really like this. I've not even thought about my use of silhouette until you mentioned it. And the use of bright light behind it too...I learned that for the first time, from you, and thank you for your observations. I'm much better at seeing others' art than seeing my own, so I learned something about my art, Harry. Much gratitude!
