"Well if it helps I'm a specific model of aeroplane"...have we stopped taking our medication ? :-) A very cool 'auntietk'esque' pov, torn between 'Starfighter' and 'Mirage', would love it to be a 'Starfighter'...just not enough of them about!! Whatever you 'think' you are, a great tease and interesting shot...cheers.(Hope you're feeling more like your old self soon :-)

That's easy, you're a photographer, the question is what is that thing you took a picture of?
Inspired_Art
F-104 Starfighter. Wiki states it's the first bird to fly at above the Mach 2 level. The wings on this bird were reportedly razor thin. It's a lovely bird. I read accounts from pilots that flying it is much like being strapped to a rocket engine.

Oops, almost missed this before you confirm the answer. Yes, fully agree with Inspired_Art as well as Rob and Neil who seem a little unsure...this is an F-104 Starfighter for sure. I got several pics of one in the US Air Force Museum but missed this intake because of some portable stairs being in the way.
T.Rex
The thinness of the wing and the slight separation of the intake from the side of the plane strongly suggest Starfighter to me. I never understood why the intake is separated from the side of the plane like this, particularily with the high speed. Keep up the good work! :-)
