Neat challenge Andrew. I saw my first Vampire about two years ago in the restoration facility of Boeing's Museum of Flight here in Washington State. What amazed me was the moulded plywood construction of much of the fuselage (de Havilland had extensive experience with wood). The one here is completely disassembled and packed into a corner of a big hangar for some future restoration which doesn't look like it is going to begin anytime soon.
