Description

This scene developed while I was testing some new conifers. Very simple work - render time much longer than scene setup :) Toolbox: Vue, Xfrog & Photoshop. Thanks for viewing and have a nice day. - Lars

The trees do look excellent. It's hard to tell about the texture because the grain of the image kind of makes their bump look too extreme, but I think that's just me. I love the crepuscular rays. The ferns came out beautifully, and the light on and through the pine needles works very well. It looks like you have just the right amount of SSS on them. The overall scene is very fitting for that type of tree.

Nicely compact and composed scene. I really like the slant of the hill. Nice light rays and lighting in general. Looks a little grainy, but if it's a test image I can see you'd want to keep the render time down. Then again getting the light rays to render in a reasonable amount of time one must sacrifice a little, I sure have. We need faster Vue and faster computers!
