Description

At the turn of the century,Brownsville was a fine and neat little town, the surrounding industries giving bread and security for generations, everybody minded his own business, but people stuck more together, spending the evenings in reciting stories of old and war adventures, having a beer, tending a garden, woman where chit-chatting by the fence, exchanging opinions about god and the world. These times have long gone, what with Brownsville now beeing evacuated by the nazi dudes. It started slowly creeping in ,with the brainwashing radiostations and tv programs, all the new communication devices where the nazis spread their evil seeds big time. This is one of the shots of the so called good times,Ol’Joe walking with the kid on a Sunday evening before heading home where mom is waiting with the dinner. And she is a good cook at that. Wonderfully nostalgic for simpler times. There was hardships back then too but nothing on the scale of today.

Really enjoy what you did here...I have an old scrap book with hundreds of black and white(some brownish)memories that I'm still scanning.Preserving these are a way to pass them along to future generation/grand kids.Always cool when artists take this approach and apply it when creating....sometimes it works...sometimes not so much....It works here for this image....(smiles)...

Wunderbare Idylle.

I think alot of us would like to go back to a simpler time, when you could leave the keys in your car, you rarely locked the house, etc., those days unfortunately are long gone. These days one rarely even knows who their neighbors are let alone talk to them. Nice feel to this, Rene, I'd like to go back... :)
