My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Trees are such resourceful entities aren't they!...They will grow where they feel like growing, whether they have been planted or just found a place to grow. The lungs of the planet, I like trees :}

A survivor? Bravo lady nature and of course for this shot.Have a nice week end Helle.

Nice shot and great composition. At first glance of the title, I was thinking it was the fire escape and not the tree that was behind the word Climb.

excellent composition. Beautiful city shot.

That white building is absolutely amazing! Wow! And while I very much appreciate the zigzag stairs, tacking them onto the outside of that building is almost unforgivable; what were they thinking? A breathtaking shot, Tara, and that tree is like frosting on the cake!

I, for one, like fire escapes. Modern high-rise city buildings have incorporated fire-resistent inside fire-escape stairs but back in the day, I suspect pre-1950s, these were mandatory and today make a very interesting photographic add-on subject. And of course, the tree sets this whole urban landscape shot apart from all those other alleys out there:) Nice!

I often see beautiful trees in urban settings (noticed one today, as a matter of fact), but I always think that the buildings around them ruin the scene & so I end up not taking a photo. This is a wonderful example of how to include urban architecture with a natural object in a very satisfying way. Great work, Tara...
angora
looks like it's competing. or perhaps wants a glimpse of the sky too? it's beautiful!!!

Puff, puff, woooofhhhh... Makes me out of breath just looking at those stairs! I really love the contrast between all the angular lines of the buildings, and the curves, angles, and colors of the single tree. Wonderful shot, Tara!
