this is at Crockett Texas.it was built in the late 1800's as a school for African American girls.later they allowed boys.it closed in 1972

Shame they let such a cool looking building get lost in decay....Notice the 3 rows of windows how the sills go from straight/slightly curved to then curve.The mark of a talented stone/brick mason.Not an easy task back in the 1800's...took some talent for sure considering the lack of certain mason tools that are available nowadays...Great Capture Richard!

Amazing looking building gone to waste, would have thought it would be preserved seeing how old it is, anything over 100yrs old here gets slapped with a preservation notice it seems lol.
