Description
Hi there..
Now, I promised more for the workshop of Rosy's Father (Porcupine), well, here is the man himself!
Creator of all the things you saw in the workshop, maker of this knife, (that's his well worn hand you see), teacher of the old ways to the young and willing.. Man of the Forest..
This is Rosy's Dad.. Enjoy..
Rob

The words are Huron Indian, Rob. I have a Huron Christmas Carol sung in the original Huron on an old record from the 1960s, with drum and all, in which the above words figure several times. It may well be on your CD. It's very nice. Nice photo of a skilled man and his production. What will become of this world if we have a catastrophe which wipes out our electric supply, our indistries? How many will know how to survive? The knowledge of these old folks is well worth preserving! All my respect to him! Thanks for comments on my recent posts. I'll post more ships as time goes by (I can only post once a day). Keep up the good photo work. :-)

Nice capture of him Rob, and hope you will share more photos of his work.

Dad is so full of knowlege...very rustic in his ways but I do believe there is not much this man can not figure out with ONLY the use of a few home made tools from the woods around him and his magnificent mind. He just tured 80 years old in January and is still out doing me! Must be in the blood, cuz my gram, dads mom, will be 100 this very summer...Im betting she makes it to! Great shot of dad Rob...thanks for listening to all his tales and such...Love you dad:-)

He sounds a really wonderful, wise and clever man and great that you all look up to him and give him the respect that he no doubt deserves.

What a Grand man, I'll bet a few hours in his company would be more informative and fun than any Museum....a family gem and National treasure, I'm impressed by his cutlery skills, are you sure he's not from Sheffield? :-) To top it all he found time to raise a 'Rainastorm', to bring the sunshine back to your life...if that's not worthy of respect then nothing is! Great pics, great post....now we need one of Rosie and her warclub!, did I mention she makes......yeh! I'm sure I did...

Wonderful portrait of this fine gentleman.

A very talented man and obviously one that takes pride in his craft. It's to his credit that he passes his skills on. All younger generations should be very proud and respectful of their elders as we can learn so much from them. Fine post of a gentleman Rob.
