Description
Going through old photos, and ran across this one of Gracie Anne from early 2007 when she was still felling pretty darn chipper. She was a character, my Gracie Anne. When we'd call her to come in, she would start slowly walking towards, looking at us very intently, trying to figure out what we were going to do. Was she going to get some yucky meds, or some scrummy cookies (got that from Jendella's, grins). Was she going to go for a ride in the car .. or a ride to the vets. She is the only dog I've ever known who would seriously work at reading us. She was the only dog who ever played tricks on us, who seemed to have a lively sense of humor. I think she was an elf or fairy who came back as a dog. Yup, I still miss her after all this time.
I used some Topaz filters to achieve this, so didn't think it belonged in photos. Dunno. Maybe one of the photo mods will see it and tell me.
Still working on keeping up with you all, but I cannot seem to do keep up with you all and create stuff. I'm just not a multi-tasker I guess. If you guys would just stop uploading such awesome, gorgeous, inspiring stuff, maybe I wouldn't get ideas and run off to try to see if I can create instead of looking and commenting, grins.
Don't pay attention to my complaining, you all are such an inspiration to me and get my Muse working overtime!
Thank you again for all your support, marvelous comments, and faves.

Oh, this is a most excellent portrait of a Thinking Dog. Primo postwork. She was a beauty...looks like a wolf with that intent gaze. The gentle predator. I believe that a thinking dog makes a much more lasting impression because they try to read us....and so our minds touch....a much deeper connection. That reminds me of a shot Glenn got of Merlin with a look like that. I'll look for it and send it to you. This, I think, should be Photo/Photo Manipulation.

Her face shows us what a very special character she was, the kindness within it is amazing. Our beloved pets never live long enough and leave us far too soon. I am so sorry you still miss her, but hope that now you remember mostly the good times with her and are not feeling the emptiness in yourself so much. I have decided that knowing Mistapus may not be with us for a long time, he will be called by God to be an angel at Rainbow Bridge and take care of any of the youngest members waiting up there, because he is such a Mother Hen when it comes to kittens and pups. I hope that when his time comes that will help me deal with it more easily within my mind, heart, and soul :o) hugs Jane xx

I think it's a gorgeous work and I like the way the filters left her intact and made the background look painted. Thank you for sharing some of the spirit of her soul with us - your love for this unique being radiates in your writing.
