Many thanks for the comments and support. This was taken on an old train my brother (Daver2112) and I visited yesterday. It was filled with wonderful texture and photo ops. Have a wonderful day Ray Rico Photography Portfolio

Fine photo with rich textures. The gas mask gives it an ominous undercurrent...

I agree with Dave this is a great shot. It sounds like you all had a fun adventure out together, its great to see two brothers sharing a hobby like this. You're keeping us guessing though not adding any facts or history to the photo, so I am making up my own. So my only other question is can you balance a camera on your head as well? lol have a great day!!

Yes, indeed. The gas mask begs the question, What kind of train is this? A good photo should leave 'em guessing. Somebody said that, didn't they? :)

I remember these ... children carried them in boxes when they went to school during the war. I had a "Mickey Mouse" one. They smelt awful.

They look to be in great shape. We got gassed in boot camp (1964) and those that were not watching, when picking up their gas masks, ended up with no canister or eye hole lenses. Some were very surprised when the tear gas bombs were tossed in and the doors were sealed!!!!
