UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I think fiddling is fun, and why not? I want to try some of these too. I believe that only by fiddling can you become able to use the technique to its most advantageous use.

This is magic, the silver clouds light it all up . beautiful

Fiddle away! It's fun to see the result of your experimentation. There's a reason it looks unnatural ... LOL! ... but that shouldn't stop you from playing with the technique! I'm looking forward to seeing what else you come up with. :)
durleybeachbum
Like you I have reservations about HDR especially in colour, but this is quite exciting.

Very cool work
Adobe_One_Kenobi
Well I'd say you reached the point of "Yes I did it" I don't much care for the gaudy HDR stuff myself, muted and subtle is the way...Nice work here bud

I like this, it has a great mood feel!!

It's a little unusual - as are many HDR's - but it has an atmosphere to it that I like. The darkness and threatening skies have a lot of power. Well done - keep fiddling.

Splendid. You are very talented. I thank you for this one. I want to see more from you. 5+!

Gulp! Not really to my taste - like when I run the contrast slider too far in Photoshop, or mess up with the brightness slider. But, it can be a fun effect, especially if used with some extreme settings. Now, go back and PLAY some more with this! It's going to be fun to see what you come up with! Looking foreward to some more "Gulp!" images! :-) (Laughing out loud to myself!)

Amazing and very beautiful Monochrome HDR Bill!!! Great first attempt!!!

OMG, I had forgotten all about HDR. I thought the latest fad/trend was RAW. In any case, striking contrast in this unique panorama, Bill.
